    ok
    i have a 2mb broadband connection. when i check my speed at various websites, its 2mb as well.
    But when i download something, its never ever goes over 250kb/s ,ever since i had broadband.
    any reasons why , and how to improve?
    any help is really appreciated.

    I don't know which bittorrent client you are using, but most all show their speeds in bytes "B" and most all cable companies advertise their speeds in bits "b".
    8bs = 1B, so 2mb = 250kBs.
    So if the 250 is kBs then you are getting good speed.
