Are you sure your dvd player is divx compatable first? ********* When we get this thread resolved, I (or someone else) should make a tutorial and post it. Seems a lot of people have similar problems.
I recently downloaded a movie,that came in 2 Avi files.However part 1 is out of sync while part 2 is fine.Is there a program out there,i can use to resync the audio to the video?Thanks in advance.
From what I know, there is a way. I've done it before. You have to use ...erm, gordian knot? Or maybe it was avi synth. One of these programs allowed you to open up the video stream and the audio stream, and from there you can setup an audio delay. I don't have much time right now to look, but if you google video audio out of synch I'm sure there are some kind of threads on it.
dang i have no idea what the problem is i got the Video_TS files and i burn those files and once i burned them i put in the dvd and once it was done with burning i put it in my dvd player and the error had came up and i did the exact things with my other dvd's and there was no problem just this one
@fast16 yes try burning at 1/2 the rated speed. Players can be picky - since this plays in the pc but not the player that may be it. What's the make and model of the drive? You may need a firmware update too. But again when you're converting it with divxtodvd make sure you have the 'standard' set to the tv format your in. You got it S fast16 - here's a screen shot. If you didn't have this set the 1st time - convert the file again. The automatic setting doesn't always work with dvd players.
I don't know about it has too but you have a better chance yes. Rules out 1 reason why it won't play on the player. Next would be media, burn speed to fast and firmware not up to date. Verbatim is great media and pretty compatible w/ players so should be good there.

For people that had the same problems i had with downloaded movies being out of sync,follow these instructions.This worked for me. ATTAR Writes: Open the video in Media Player Classic, then click on Play -> Audio -> Option. Tick the box next to Audio time shift(ms), and enter a number. Click OK, and play the video. Keep changing this number until the audio lines up. Once you are happy that you have found the delay in milliseconds, open the video in virtualdubmod and click on Streams -> Stream List. Right-click on the stream and select Interleaving. In the bottom section of the dialogue, marked Audio Skew Correction, enter the number you found in MPC. Click OK, OK. Video > Direct Stream Copy. Click on File -> Save As, save a new, hopefully corrected, AVI file.
