I have followed every step in this thread carefully, disabled the firewalls. Tried with two different computers today. Still no luck. I think theres got to be something wrong with the dm600, the dm500 was peace of cake to connect, should be the same with dm600?

You could try to flash in winxp save mode with network support.

I know this is a slightly old thread but here's my status when trying to flash:

    Log window:
    15:46:46 box type: DM600PVR

    Status: initiating flash-loader upload...

and there it stays ... forever.

Same box.. same problem. I am not even getting the option of flashing. I can connect to the box no problem via LAN. Tried everything to flash it via LAN without any luck. Now trying the null modem as above and getting no further.

It's seeing the box but as I say no option for flash. One expensive brick!!

If anyone got this box flashed please explain how!!!

I wiped my firmware so the box no longer boots, it then goes into "recovery mode" or "upgrade mode" and it will boot into a web-only mode where you point your browser to (some address) and upload the new firmware via http.

I can't remember where I found the guide right now though. Maybe someone else can point us to it.

Found software called DreamUpLAN. I am going to give it a whirl later. It only accepts .bin and .img files.

Anyone know where I'll get a decent image of this variety for the 600?
