Drive doesn't recogize double layer discs

    I have a Lite On SHW-160P6S DVD burner. It works great for CD-R's and DVD+/-R's, but it won't recognize any DVD+R Double Layer discs. I have the latest firmware. In the My Computer window, when I insert a blank DVD+R DL, the drive icon changes from "DVD-RW Drive" to "CD Drive", and says there is no free space and no used space on the disc. Can anyone help?

    Have you tried burning to one of these dual layers?

    The drive changing to cd drive and showing no free space is normal windows behavior - no worries there.

    What brand of dual layer are you using?
