Hey yall. I'm curious, I'm about to buy a PS2 with a DSM4 Chip. I'm really only interested in the HDAdvance, so is there any advantages to having a DSM4 chip if your soley using HDAdvance?

AKA Can you put backups on the hard drive with the DSM4 and HDAdvance? Thanks

not really, since we can't make a copy of the HD Advance dvd. But with the DMS4 chip you can use a copy version of HD Advance 1.0 to play games of the hard drive.

so if you just want to use HD Advance, then I wouldn't get DMS4 chip

Well I can just burn HDLoader on a CD and then load that on right? HDLoader is better then hdavance anyways.

Also, is it possible to load HDLoader on a Mem Card and then just run it from there? AKA No CD needed?
