Hi i have got windows 2000 in my old laptop so i recently installed xp dual boot aswell but after a few days, when i select xp from the bbot screen it comes up an error message saying, "Windows 200 could not start because the following file is midding or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMd startup options for Windows 200"
I get that message even though i selected xp and windows 200 works,

Does anyone know how i can solve this problem? And also i would like to delete all windows 2000 and install a new xp, how do i do that?

    Please help

    Sam,
The greatest thing about starting fresh, is not having to worry about any previous issues with the dual boot!! So.. we'll just move on to answering this question.

Insert your XP CD, boot from it... follow the prompts. When you get to the partition menu screen, delete all partitions and then setup a new one. Format with QuickNTFS, then grab a snack.
