I'm using some dual layer dvd's to burn for the first time however Nero Vision isn't recognising this ans still thinks that it has a capcity of 4.7 GB and not 8.5 GB. How do I change this?
You change the size in Recode to DVD-9 instead of the default of DVD-5 when you are doing D/L blank media. I would suggest a better D/L program for you to use and it is ImgBurn. Way better than Nero for doing D/L and it is free ImgBurn: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/imgburn.cfm In Nero: 1. Click on "Recode an entire DVD to DVD" 2. Lower right look for "Fit to Target" and below that is where you click DVD-9
If you do decide to use NeroVision then you can change it to DVD9 by clicking on the arrow, bottom right of prog.
I do change it to DVD-9, but it reads it as 7.45 GB capacity, instead of 8.5 GB. Is that supposed to happen?
1aleem, What brand of blank DVD Media are you using?? A DVD-9 is approx 8,540,000,000 bytes and that is 7.95 in computer GB
Where Nero is reading 7.45 gig, could this be the amount of disk space to be used? Is the 7.45 gig in the Total Size box? If so, the size is the amount of space to be used on the disk.
