dual layer ps2 games???

    i have heard alot of talk about new dual layer games commuing up in the future.....I am a bit concerned because i just recently got my ps2 modded. I was just wondering will modchips be able to play burnt dual layer dvds. Thanks Alot.

    most modchips can, but i think the ps2 has trouble reading duel layer dvdr discs.

    i don't believe there will be many games using dual layer disks appearing. gta san andreas was widely believed to require one but it turns out it's only 4gb and so fits on a normal dvd. pro evolution 2004 is only 1gb!
    maybe final fantasy games or other games where there's a lot of fmv will use them but i expect it'll be a tiny percentage.

    There are dual layer games out now and you can get them to work on hdloader. You just have to rip them to your pc first and install them via ps2 handiness or some other app like winhiip. If you tried to install like normal with the ps2 dvd-rom it would only install the first layer and probably wouldn't work right.

    PC installing gets around that problem. Go here. Nice hd loader compatiablity list with a search function.
