Ever since I saw Nephilim's Dual monitor setup in a thread I had to have them for myself. Now the only problem is convincing my wife of a valid [bold]need[/bold] for such a setup! I am hoping for a few suggestions along those lines and also what software you use, if you also have such a setup, to manage your Monitors. Any help would be appreciated. :)

    Hey ScubaBud

Im running Dual 17" LCD's at the moment, and they are great.

I use UltraMon (which i sent to Nephilim, which is what he is using) and you can customize both monitors seperately.

If you want it, which i can get home i can send it to you :)

Within the last 30 minutes and because of you and Neph my wife is now not speaking to me!!! <G>

And that's a good thing! So thank you thank you thank you!!!

Actually my wife is a wonderful person and wanted me to buy another 17" LCD today but I'm going to wait until I can get a twin to the one I use now. In the meantime I stole her 17" LCD and made her use the Laptop so I can play with this new setup.

So guess what I have loaded already? :)

So far I had elected Dualview mode under Nvidia and used Smart Taskbar (standard) for each Monitor to be separate. I noticed that Neph's Taskbar had his clock and icons on the right monitor and his start button on the left. I'm trying to get the clock on the right monitor taskbar as I type this.

I would forever be in your debt if you could suggest your prefered settings under UltraMon Options with any tricks and tweaks you have learned.

    I love this setup! :)

Correction on that taskbar issue. I re-looked at Neph's setup in the thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/165254 and saw that his clock and taskbar icons are on his left monitor. Maybe that's why I can't get mine moved over!

    ScubaBud=PEBKAC tonight!

    Hey CJC :)

I might be one of your customers...

Does something like this sound familiar?

Hi, Is this my ISP? I have this problem that every time I want to get to the internet my browser says something like I cannot connect to it. Everything seems to be fine here. My computer and modem are on and seem to be working. One question, do I need to have my modem plugged into the little jack on the wall also or just plugged into the A/C? <G>

I don't have dual monitors, but I heard that [bold]Ultramon[/bold] is a good program for dual monitors.

Thank you for your suggestion also! You did hear correct! Based on prior advice from CJC and Nephilim I also downloaded the program and can easily say it's great and easy to use!

Women, blokes & PCs are like oil & water. They do not mix very well. Just be nice to her & get her lots of flowers!
Tell her that you love her. (You are not compelled to tell the truth on that one though LOL!)

Thanks for the advice. I do love her so telling her that is the easy part. The hard part might be the flowers, since I'm so cheap! LOL

She agreed already so everything is cool now but she reminded me that on her birthday last year, she got a water heater since the old one sprung a leak. This year she wants something a bit more personal so of course I agreed to her wish. I'm thinking something like a new Riding Mower with her name on it. What do you think? :)

She got a water heater for her birthday? My mate gets new bits for his PC, she gets a new gas cooker for the kitchen!
