duplicating noncommercial dvds

    I want to duplicate a homemade dvd. Do you have to rip these to get the info on your hard drive successfully?

    Also, when going from dvd to vcd, can the vcd have the same chapters and interactivity as the dvd?

    That's a good one Drowsy, Because later on I too will be making my own videos and I would like to know how to do that.. This should be a good topic.

    homemade= home videos that were probably authored using some simple software then burned-not by a professional. I wanted to know if these types of dvds are encrypted.

    I backed up my wedding video which was on dvdr to another dvdr using only DVDdycrypter(as it was small enough to fit). It came out great. It was originally done by a videographer.
