    Folks,

I am really new to DVD ripping. I promise that I have read through most of this site, but I'm really confused about something...

I own some DVDs, and I simply want to extract the audio from the DVD and burn it to a CD-R.

I can't figure out what I need in order to do this. Is there a freeware program that will rip DVD audio into .wav format?

    Anything else that I need???

Sorry to ask something that I'm sure is so basic to most of you - thanks for the patience!!!

    Doug

You can use DVD Audio Ripper to rip only DVD audio. It can extract DVD sound tracks and save as MP3 or WAV. Also supports ripping by chapter, certain time or file size. See here www.imtoo.com . But I don't know a freeware which can do this. I guess you have to use several freeware and the progress will be a little troublesome.

If the songs are arranged by chapter use the free DVDDecrypter > IFO Mode/ Stream Processing/ Demux.

You can use AC3Tool to convert to wave.
