ok so a couple months back i got a dvd burner and put it in my computer....i started backing up my movies using memorex dvd+r's and it seemed to work excellently......then i found a sale on sony dvd+r's and they worked great as well.....and right now i am using esa dvd+r's and hp dvd+r's......it seems to me that this started happening as soon as i started using the hp dvd's but i have been having alot of trouble with the dvd's lately......in the first many dvd's i had no errors and now in the past week i've had 6 dvd's come out that can not play......on my computer they freeze nero and cause it to go not responding and on a dvd player it says that the disc is dirty.....before i started using the hp dvd's the esa's worked great but now the esa's aren't working either.......i doubt it was caused by the hp dvd's and its probably just a coincidence that it started acting up then......but anyways i'm fairly new to dvd burners and any help would be greatly appriciated

make sure your dvd decrypter is updated, shrink of course wont update since the guy is working for nero now, but i bet its a bad blank media problem ,try some better brands as in TY,Ritek,Verbatim,Maxell and stay away from the memorx and the HP product both thoughs being not very good media.you can buy online also at supermedia store.com or meritline.com and find great deals on TY which i use and most clear thinking people in the forum.
