Dvd backup software allowing cc always on.

    Since about early August, after a update from DvdFab. I have not been able to keep the sub title's off my back-ups.Anyone with a answer Please comment.Thanks BBB

    CC (closed captions for hearing impaired) are normally controlled by the TV setup.
    If you know that CC's are off there are two other ways they can display.

    If those particular subs are set as 'default' on the disk, they will play automatically from the standalone player - but they can be turned off using the remote.

    If those subs are set as 'forced' on the disk,they will play automatically from the standalone player - but they cannot be turned off using the remote.

    Which do you have?

    In either case, DVDFab would have to be re-writing the IFO file - if that's the case, then it would be better to ask at their Forum.

    This happens with certain builds of acidrip.. the solution is to dump a separate subs file which you don't include in the reauthoring.
