I dunno what to do. Everytime I try backing up a DVD in Nero I ALWAYS get this error. And everytime I try using Alcohol 120 it keeps getting all these disk errors.

    -Thanks

1....You are burning on the fly..... not recommended.....
2.....shut down some of your programs that you don't need while burning, no internet, no multi tasking.... too much memory being used
3......your media is not even listed so I must presume that you are using crappy media...... MJC is a code I don't even see anywhere... use better media like Taiyo Yuden, Sony, Maxell.....made in Japan media... or Verbatim.... top of the line media so you'll have a better chance of success.
4......burning your media too slowly is just as bad as burning too fast! I recommend burning at 4x up to 8x depending on the rated speed of the media being used. Keep in mind that your burner's last firmware update is 2 yrs old now.... I recommend using 8x media and burning at 4x!
5......also your version of Nero might be buggy.... but for copying a DVD it should have worked! I use Nero 6.6.0.18 the best version of Nero 6 and I don't know what is good for version 7 anymore because Nero updates like changing your underware so I can't really recommend a stable version on Nero 7.

try using the adjustments 1-4 that I recommend to do and see if you have better results.

one more thing...... I hope you're not trying to back up a store bought DVD through Nero alone.... you will need a program like AnyDVd or some other program to break the encryptions that prevent copying. If you are just backing up a copy of a copy or backing up data or backing up home made movies then Nero should have done the job! but as far as copying a store bought DVD movie.... there are plenty of programs out there that can break the encryptions on a DVD and then you can use Nero to burn! I recommend a free program called RipIt4Me, just download the programs and follow the guide:
    http://www.ripit4me.org/guide.html#start

    Hi xHybridx,

I am using nero from the years of CD writers born (Writer with 2x/4x max speed). Present stable version, I am using, is Nero7 premium reloaded 7.5.9.0A(file dt 27th Nov 2006). Doing CD, DVD copying, conversion, making movies etc. without any problems.Believe, you can download it from here itself - afterdawn.com

Version 7.7.5.1 (dt Jan ? 2007) and 7.8.5.0 (dt 20th Mar 2007) are not working properly for DVD files.

Thanks for the help guys, I decided to just stop using Nero for now and switch to Alcohol 120 since that seems to be alot faster and easier.

But yeah..I'll try those ideas you gave me and see if it will do anything to help my situation with Nero in the future.

    See ya
