    Hello,

I've got a Philips DVDRW824 that is capable of burning both DVD+R and DVD-R but I've got a little problem witht he speed that it writes at.

The majority of the time I use the program DVD Decryptor to burn my DVD's but when I select the program to burn at 1x it always ALWAYS burns at the maximum write speed no matter what speed I pick beforehand!! Sometimes I need to burn on 1x but it just won't let me, any ideas of how I can combat this???

    Thanks

What speed rating is your current media? Have you tried 1X or 2X rated media?
