I didn't have any success finding an answer or similar problem using the forum search, or dvd guides so I am posting my issue.

I have flawlessly been using my Iomega dvd burner for +r/+rw backups since I got it several month's ago. I use dvdshrink and then nero for my backups. All of the
sudden my drive will no longer read dvd's that I
backup. If I backup a movie, and insert the the backup
dvd in my drive, the drive won't read it. It was
working fine up until a week ago. If I want to backup
a movie I have to do it from the original again and
play the backups in my regular home theater dvd player.

I use tdk, phillips, and memorex blank media +r/+rw

Although I have recently upgraded to the latest nero, I have made no other changes to my settings or how I do my backups.

    styymy,

tdk isn't the best media - it is recommended that you switch to Ritek G04 or Verbatim - products that boast a metal AZO Dye can be considered as an above average media also (unfortunitly it costs a pretty penny :-(

However I suspect that it could be a Burner problem - contact Iomega support -

    Thanks Pete,
I've contacted Iomega and I'm awaiting a response. Thanks for the blank media tip...
