I did some searching around and all I really found was that maybe it was a scratched or defective original disc, and you should try to rerip it. If that doesn't work, try to rip with DVD Decrypter.

    Hi kentucky1,
rerip: You should take the original and try to read it with DVD Decrypter instead of CloneDVD. DVD Decrypter can get past bad areas better than CloneDVD can. A bad area on a DVD can usually be played through without being seen.

Use Decrypter in Mode> File. Set the output target as a folder (make the folder beforehand)on your hard drive. Once Decrypter is done, open CloneDVD find the folder and process.

you should probably get the original and not the ripped version you're trying to burn...only way the problem can really be fixed...

Maybe im confused but didnt i say on my original post that i was using the original dvd disc?
When i use the original dvd disc i get that error message when i rip it in dvd decryptor and then try and use dvd clone to burn it i get the same error message!
The dvd disc work sfine when you watch it in a dvd player!
Im running any dvd in the background and tis one disc is one in a set of 10 and i had no problems with any of the others!

At this point I think you should take the files Decrypter made and run them through DVD Shrink. What I'm trying to have you do is to process out the error if possible. Shrink does a pretty good job of rejecting invalid or non compliant files. I'm curious to see if it will accept them. That would tell us if it is CloneDVD specific problem or if there is something wrong with the files after Decrypting. Did you get any error messages or skipped sectors while using Decrypter?

    WOW will this never end?
Tried DVD shrink and it did its thing with no problem!(no errors or anything)
Then i used dvdclone to burn a copy but its not put together correctly????
There are three diffrent programs on this one dvd it seems like it briefly starts off with the second one then it gets to the interactive menu and it wont let you select any of the three????
Surely there must be a way to duplicate this thing?
please please help this thing is driving me nuts!

maybe you should check out your ASPI layer. I don't know much about it but from what I understand it's so your computer and burner can communicate nicely. Nero's infotools can check it out for you and there's info in the newbies link and scubapete's link in my sig.

there must a defective part on the disc,
when it stops at 87% with clonedvd, can u see at what point in the movie,it freezes at??...
its most definetly sounds like a damaged dvd,

i think you have 2 options..

take it back to the shop where you bought it

    or

find exactly where the damaged frames are,on your dvd player,
then once you know where the damaged frames are,....
open it in dvd shrink, reauthor it,and stop/start the dvd at the point where you think the damaged frames are....you will lose a small amount of play time, buts thats the best you can do i think
