DVD Copying

    I know this will be a stupid question but i have a ricoh dvd+RW drive i have tried to burn a film with nero just a straight copy will it ever play or do i have to rip it that is why i cant play it?? has it a copyright?? The film i am trying to copy fits onto DVD+RW is this the best format or +R

    +r will play on all stand alone if you close the disc out but +rw or mainly for practice and storing info from hd. you need to rip the movie with dvd decrypter and edit with ifo edit. burn with neo dvd standard works great

    You cant copy a dvd like a cd ( exact copy ) ,the vob files are encrypted ,you need to decrypt them with dvd decrypter or smart ripper ( both free ware tools )and then stripp out unwanted data like diffrent languages and subtitles with Ifoedit0.95 , then if the data left is under 4.37gb you could burn it to disc , read the guides and log on and read the posts and use the search option prior to posting
