dvd decrypter and dvd shrink

    Your better off always using the originals to backup. But if your going to backup a backup, make sure your using good quality media to start. If the source (your backup) can be read/ripped you shouldn't have any problems.

    Shrink and Decrypter should be able to do it. Also any disc copy program will work.

    I do not have the original copy. I just copied it from VCD to DVD-R through a DVD recorder. Now I only have the DVD-R. I'll try decrpyter/disk copy and see what happens.I'll keep you posted.

    Hmmm, You should only backup the movies you own.

    Your coming close to piracy talk (IMO), so I'll leave this one alone now :)

    This is a home video i did a while back on vcd and since vcd is not universally used here i was just trying to convert it to dvd-r.

    Two things -

    First, to copy from a copy use any "copy disc" program.

    i. E. Nero SmartStart - choose "copy and backup" then choose "copy disc".

    Now for the second thing
