I made an ISO from a DVD using DVD Decrypter but it resulted in 3 files the .mds, IO1, and IO2 files. What does this mean? what do I do?

Just burn the .MDS file using the DVD Decrypter by clicking the MODE, ISO and WRITE drop down menu.

That does not seem right, maybe you should switch from ISO mode to IFO or File. Are you going to burn to a DVD?

I decrypted it, -> mode -> ISO -> Read then got the .mds, IO1, and IO2 files. Then usually I burn the ISO image, but its not in ISO format.

    Hi burns,
I started reading in the ISO mode, and I noticed the movie was going to be way to big to fit on a disc so I stopped the process. I just can't think of where this mode would be useful unless it happened to be a DVD5 or a copy. Couldn't you just use the IFO or File mode and then edit?

Hi anahavia, maybe I should let it complete the read then just select the .mds file. Can you tell how large the .mds file is?

    Fasfrank,

I only use dvd decrypter in ISO format if it's dvd5. If the dvd is more than dvd5 then I use dvd Shrink 3.0 in IFO format, usually just the main movie and no menus.

Have a look at my guide for using DVD Decrypter to backup a DVD5 to DVD5. (Link below)
