I have the very same problem! My DVD-drive is connected to a 100/ata controller... Everytime I open either DVD decrypter or Nero burner I freeze! I does play cd's and DVD... help.
I am trying to burn an .iso file from PC to burner. The PC does recognize the drive as well as the files, but does not play, either the CD or DVD. I am starting to think it may be the drive itself. I have a Mad Dog Dominator.
@Sam_S It's an ISO of a movie I take it? @tslaursen Have you updated the drivers for you controller card? Reinstalled Nero and Decrypter? Installed an ASPI layer?
