ok a am trying to copy Champions of Norrath, so i start up decryptor and it tells me the game is over 8 gigs. i was shocked, so i look up the disc size under the "My Computer" explorer window and it tells me the disc is only 4.1 gigs. What gives? has anyone run into this issue before?

champions of norath is a dvd9.fact
it needs to be split onto 2 dvd's(and no,i cant help you with that, just yet!)
or you can risk putting it on a dual layer dvd
    with kind regards hursty

To make the iso first you have to change the partition type of your windows to ntfs...fat32 does not use files bigger than 4gb ....after you can TRY to reduce the quality of the videos using a software like DVD Shrink to fit on a 4,7gb DVD SL Disc...i never tried the DVD Shrink on ps2 games...but i'll as soon as my modded ps2 arrives

No, DVD Shrink cannot be used on PS2 games. There is no 'one-click' software to reduce the size of PS2 games. The only way to do that is with a decent amount of programming knowledge.

But you're in luck. There is a guide for splitting CoN to two DVD5's on swapmagicfix.com.

using fat 32 to burn games over 4 gb IS possible, you must use dvd decrypter.

how that's possible? FAT32 does not holf a single file bigger than 4gb... dvd decripter slipts the file?! or simply copy the files from the disk? this way the game will be bigger than 4gb, but no in one single file...but multiple ones...

why is it not possible then?
are you arguing the fact that using a fat32 system does not allow you to burn ps2 games over 4gb?
at what point did i say anything about using a single file?

yah, i believe Dvd Decrypter splits up the .iso it creates into 1gb files. I don't really care cause i use NTFS, but pretty sure that's what it does.
