DVD disc wont load on Apex AD5131

    The DVD, bought as new 6 months ago, was able to play DVD, VCD, CD before. It cannot load DVD now. Since it can still play VCD and CD, it appears not a hardware problem. Can anyone help me out? Thanks a lot!

    hmm thats not nice but i hyave seen it before are you using Windows ME?? i was and my fix was XP!

    Thank you for your suggestions, but mine is Apex DVD player and it is connected directly to TV (not to a computer)! I wonder why Windows OS can cause this problem?

    The last guy who complained about this, turned out that he tried to play divx in his dvd plasyer and his vcd/svcd laser burned out trying to read it! lol

    My DVD player can play VCD. Does that imply the hardware is still OK?

    Yep more than likely have you had many problems before with SVCD?
