    Hi

My DVD player in my computer isn't repsonding to my DVD-R discs.

I popped in a real DVD and it was ok.
I tried a CD-R, that was fine, too.
I even popped in a PS2 disc just to be sure, and that was read, too.
My computer just refuses to read blank DVD-R discs.
Oh yeah, and it's not like the discs are old or something
I just bought them no longer than an hour earlier than this post.
It is reading EVERY other kind of disc other than blank DVD-Rs

Note: the discs are Memorex (pretty decent quality right?)

Sorry to say this but around here at AD, memorex, as plan and simple as i can say is "crap"

Although u might need a firmware update to be able to read the disks,
But i would never recommend them to anyone, the best blank media is Verbatims, and Taiyo Yudens IMO

    Do u have NERO?
If so u can use the NeroInfoTool to find out the make and model of ur burner to see if the firmware needs updating.

Is your burner dual format and can read +R and -R DVDs? I assume you've used the -R before?
