    Hello all,
I'm new to this fourum and I need some help/info.
Can someone please tell me the difference between DVD-
    and DVD+?
And is it possible to rip DVD's from My DVD+ drive?
I do not have a DVD- on my PC.
And Do we ever share and swap ripped DVD's here?
I have lots of div-x movies.
    Thanks.

    Greetings fellow Trekker,
+ and - is like Beta and VHS
Yes you can rip from any drive that will play DVD
No we don't EVER share and swap here (we try not to talk about it - hypocritical, but necessary)
I have lots of DivX movies too!
Got yourself a new burner eh? I s'pose I shall need to get one myself...
    Regards

DVD-R was the first DVD recording format ,it is compatible with about 93% of all DVD Players and most DVD-ROMs.
DVD+R is the second generation recording format ,has some "better" features than DVD-R and it is compatible with about 87% of all DVD Players and most DVD-ROMs.

Latest burners will write faster to a DVD+R and 8x speed are now available in DVD+R media cutting the recording time for those that are in a hurry ((Smiles!!))
