Have you upgraded to the latest version of Nero at least 6? This should correct the problem. you can get it here www.nero.com

yo cfl777, that was one suggestion that was made on the forums here, it was said that any nero version under 6 caused a conflict with DVD Shrink and certain DVD's, anyway another suggestion that was made was using DVD43 you can get it here www.dvd43.com it is designed to remove CSS copy protection and run in the background of DVD Shrink...anyway go to the link and read about it, this should help you. any ?'s on above feel free to ask.

Rip the DVD with dvd decrypter first , then use shrink.

Have you tried cleaning the disc?

If it still falls over at the very same point, then there maybe an uncleanable spot on the disc (heavy scratch or fade patch) or indeed actual data corruption.

In which case you would need to aquire another copy.....

cfl777 , i read something about fake cells inserted inside the movie , that redirects to a unreadable sector. I also read that the last dvd decrypter version (3.5.0.0)can fix that.
Another workarroud is to use a VOB editor , find the fake cell and delete it.
