DvD format! HELP!

    does anyone know the normal format for a DvD? so you can play downloaded movies on a DvD player?!

    Is this a VIDEO-TS folder your talking about then it's vob,open the folder & the extension will show in explorer apart from the usual BUP extension,burning the contents of the VIDEO folder to dvd will play on the dvd player assuming any region restrictions are removed & dvd is burnt on dvd-r,i see no reason for it not to work,however i use a computer as a media center so don't have a stand alone

    the formatt its in at the moment, is DivX.

    hey, do you know a good programme that i can burn files from my computer to a disc? :)
