While the concept of extending the life of ones dvd burner is a noble one agreed spending $49.95 for dvd idle/pro? program that your link took me to MARKNZ is rather silly why spend 50.00 dollars dor a program when you can but a new burner for 12.00 to 15.00 more ! Bought a NEC-3500AG @ newegg.com 62.99 shipped ! Plus drives are getting faster ,cheaper and improving in technology all the time ! you could alternatively use another program to play iso files off your dvd on your hard drive although the programs name eludes me at present . If it works for you fine - I would rather jusy get a new drive when I need one ! peace my friend

Yes you are right on that, but some of us do have a limited budget.

    All the best, Mark

If your budget is limited as you say then why not go with Any DVD cheapr by $10 and works better too.
