Im a little confused on the exact way to backup my ps2 games and get them working. I have tried to copy two games, final fantasy x-2 and devil may cry using a NEC burner and verbatim dvd-r disks but still no luck. I just get the disk read error message and a whole lot of frustration. I used dvd dycryptor and nero both with similar results. Do i need to use dvd loader to get it to work if im dont have a swap magic type modchip? Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated, oh and im burning at 2.4 or 1x so i dont think burn speed is the issue.

no, you don't need dvd loader. are you sure you are loading the games according to the mod chip's instructions?

Yeah that, or your chip may not be functioning properly.
