My JVC DVD player seems to be having trouble playing burnt discs now.. my computer plays them from the disc fine but put them in the DVD, and it will struggle to get to the menu screen (i have to reset a few times) and then if it plays the movie it will be very skippy and jumpy.. about every 3-4 seconds it will skip a little, which is frustrating, thing is it never did this before, it has only recently started doing it and i havent had it that long.. Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be the Discs or the way im burning them??

Probably your media, whatever brand name and format it is. Also may have been burned too fast. Some standalones have problems playing dvd-r/rw/+r/+rw.

Slow down that burn speed, use good quality media.

Here's some other things that can effect this issue:

    Spyware/virus
    Labels-paper stickon labels
    Multi-tasking
    Too much compression
Something about your burn program, try another one
    Fragmented hard drive
    Many,Many more possibilities
