    Hello all

I just got my first DVD player/burner installed in my computer and was wondering if anyone can recommend any good DVD players that I can download/purchase. If possible I just want a program that strickly plays DVD's and doesn't do anything else.

    Thanks in advance

If all you want to do is play DVD's there are many free players--what software did it come with? What is the make/model?

Windvd is a very fine player. I started with windvd 4 that came with my pc,but upgraded to windvd 6 for 50 bucks on ebay.

Windvd 4 is still an awesome player, and I purchased it on ebay for under $10 including s&h at ebay for my dad's pc.

I was wrong--I just thought they were free because mine came on computer--InterVideo WinDVD4, which I like-- But also,Real Player and Windows media player will play DVD's, right?--I'm still learning but these I thought were free? Just asking, but if you buy a DVD Player/Recorder wouldn't software come with it?

They wont play them without the CODEC which you only get from a DVD software program like WinDVD or PowerDVD ect..

There is one free one out there, but for the life of me I can't remember what it is??
