dvd player wont play DTS

    i have an acoustic solutions 551 dvd player with built in dogital decoder for surround sound,when i ask it to play in DTS format the DTS logo on my machine lights up but i do not get any sound,how come?
    please help cos its pissing me right of

    sorry its the as150
    cheers for any help,though i know this amp does not decode i thought the dvd player should do it,hence the 6 channel output from dvd player
