i got a movie called green street hooligans and its 148 mins long. i have dvd-r 4.7 gb 2 hr discs and i was wondering if there was a way to put this movie on one disc without losing parts of the movie. i tried trimming the movie but i would lose not only the credits but the actual movie. the frame rate is 23 frames/second the data rate is 109 kbps and the video compression is DivX yv12 thank you in advance sab112090
This incorporates using DVD Shrink which will compress the movie without lossing any of your movie. This guide also converts your movie into a DVD compliant video (you can play it in any standard DVD player) If you are looking at keeping this movie in the same format though then you could give NeroVisionExpress a try.
Sure you can use what ever you wish to burn it. In the guide I used DVD Decrypter because it was free and it does a really good job at burning the completed ISO file, but you can use what ever proggie you want to burn it
You are getting good advice from bbmayo. He really knows what he is talking about. Has helped me a number of times. To answer your question-Yes a 148 minute movie will fit on the disc. Shrink is a program that writes a compressed ISO file on your hard drive. Then it can be burned with the program of your choice (ie. Nero). When I write a movie I usually only do the movie itself, but you can do the entire disc. The reason I only do the movie is to keep the compression as little as possible to preserve the best definition. However an entire movie done on a disc is still very presentable to watch.
i did everything u told me... it worked great ty so much, but i still have 1 question. when i do this how can i make it widescreen? ty in advance
iv burned about 8 movies like this is works but all of them have like 2 sec skips. some do it every 5 minutes some only do it like 4 times a movie. how can i stop it from doing this? thank you in advance
have a look at http://www.jdobbs.com/Pages/Downloads.htm great program even the free version using the HC encoder. Added I use RipIt4Me to get it on the hd to get the VIDEO_TS folder for rebuilder.
Do they skip if you play them from your PC? If not then this is more than likely a media issue. Try burning at a slower speed or get some quality media.
I guess I should have explained my question a little better. Do the files play from your hard drive fine? If so then the problem is your media and you will probably need to get some better quality media like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.
