DVD -R and DVD+R usage

    What is the difference between dvd-r and dvd+r. How do i know which one to use. I have a tdk burner that does both.

    Not much difference really,the -r's are a little bit more compatible,because they tend to play in older dvd players,and most all the new players.I use the -r's because I have 3 panasonic 5 dics changers that jam when fed +r's.

    Ok thanks Jim. Which one should i use to back up my games on my Xbox?

    I used memorex +R and they worked great for me, but now I use ritek G04 -R and they also work great for me, so -R and +R both work but just buy good disc's, not the cheap one's.
