Sorry I took so long to get back. I'm very happy to report that it's all going perfectly - I've been working a lot, and been leaving the pc to create a few nice dvds for when I get home. I'm just going to try a 4 speed burn to see how that goes now nero is gone. It's splendid to have it sorted - thanks a lot all of you!!

 

Good to hear the software compatibility problem went away!
