    Hi:

I'm experiencing this problem is several different ways and the reading I have done seems to point to DVD quality - although I have changed the burner and the DVD quality and still receive similar problems.

    Here is my issue:

I have burned DVDs in several different ways:

    Slysoft Clone DVD
    Nero DVD creation
    Pinnacle Studio

the disks either are not being read at all by the portable DVD player (different types) or they begin an then about 1 hour into the DVD they either Glitch the picture or totally stop (freeze) the playing.

I must be doing something wrong and seek any guidance that could be provided.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Check the manual that came with your DVD player. It may be that
is not compatible with the disc type you are using. Some players
will only read +. Some only read -. Some only read certain speeds.
Some work better with one brand and not another.
I have run into that same problem before with a stand alone player
    that was really picky.

    Thanks.

The burner is a 16X burner. It works with both + and - DVDs. I have been using +R Disks.

The issue arises with different DVD players.

Try burning at 4x and see how you go.

Most common reasons for poor playback/freezing include:

    1. The use of poor quality media - stick with Verbatim or TY's
    2. Burning too fast - 4x to 8x recommended
    3. The use of paper labels on burnt media - do not use labels
    4. Burning too close to the edge - reduce size to 4400 Mb
    5. Firmware not up to date.

    Explore these possiblities.
