DVD+R Dual Layer

    When do these blank DVDs become available to the public? Will they be only compatible with special DVD Burners?

    They are already out but expensive. $10. to $15. each. Yes you need a dual layer burner to use these blanks.

    I guess compression is the best way around the larger DVDs right now.

    Thats what most members are doing until prices come way down. Just not worth it right now.
