hi. Im going to buy a dvd burner for PS2 games and I have a modchip in my console. I need to know if I should to buy DVD-R Or DVD+R burner and DVD-R/DVD+R dvds. I also need to know if my V5 console will play movies with either kind of blank dvds.

If you have a modchip installed in your system, there should be no problem using either a DVD-/+R media for backup games and movies.

From what I heard PS2 only supports DVD-, and not DVD+. The mod chip might work though.
I'm buing a "hybrid" burner myself. The Sony DRU 500A which burns both DVD- and DVD+
