Which one of these read better on ps2, burning on a dvd+r and bitsetting to dvd-rom or just burning on dvd-r?

It really depends. Do what mainly works for you should be the mindset. Most older generation PS2s can read DVD-Rs completely fine, some can even read DVD+R entirely better than DVD-R. It varies depending on media brand quality, media brand, burner, CPU specs and so forth. There's a lot of things to considering but the most important should be doing what works for you like what burn speed you should burn a game at.
