My Verbatim DVD-R indicate the speed at 1x2.4x speed...what is this mean?? Is it 1x or 2.4x?

Also I have 4x Burner...Will I be able to burn the games on my Verbatim DVD-R at 4x speed?

means that it can be burned at 1x or 2X. If the media isn't 4x certefied often times the burner won't burn it at 4x besides, you wouldn't want to burn media that's not certified at 4x... you should've posted this in the DVD-R section of the forums you would get a lot more help.

Burning at 4x is unstable for PS2 games anyway.

I burn at 4x on the fly, and have no problems...with DVD5 games.....

If you have a 4x capable burner AND good quality 4x media, the speed is irrelevant....

Cos that is what it is designed to do.....

Although I would point out having a 4x speed burner and burning at lower speeds is probably more common due to the 'clone dvdr's that are flying about'........contradiction to what I said..
