DVD+R works, -R doesn't

Hi, I was having some problems backup up my movies. I backup movies to DVD-r's before. But now If I try to use a DVD-R I get an error on DVDXCOPy. I've burnt plenty of xbox games to DVD-R's I was wondering If anyone knew why I can't use -R's for movies.

 

will it not let u burn the movie, or will the dvd player not play the movie.

xbox will play DVD-R movies and games, but your DVD player may not...
other than that i have no clue

No, it won't let me burn the movies with dvdxcopy. I tried DvD Shrink and had no problems with -R's?

 

what dvd x copy r u using, is it platinum or just the regular. if its not platinum, then i would try that... also, i would try re installing dvd x copy....anything short of that i have no clue.... sorry

 

What is the error message that you get in DVDXCopy? If it's something about not a writable disc, click Advanced Options BEFORE BURNING and select Gear Networks drivers instead of Nero.
