DVD-RAM is a re-recordable medium marketed by Panasonic and others. I have 2 recorders that use it and it works great. It will record 4.7 GB of video or data and is reusable up to 100,000 times (compared to 1000 for DVD+RW) As you probably know, there are format wars going on now. The RAM format is incompatible with DVD-rw or DVD+RW. As far as I know, the RAM manufacturers are all in the DVD-R camp for write-once media.
