I recently purchased a DVD recorder and is a Magnavox and got it for around $90.00. I have been recording from TV and go to play in my home theater system but the audio isn't loud and have to turn it up almost all the way just to hear. Is this because it's relatively an inexpensive system or because of certain DVD media??

The recorder (or cable box if you record from that) may have an 'audio compression' setting that you can try.

ATTAR Thanks a million! What you told me helped. Never would have guessed to look at settings on cable box.
