    Ok...please no flaming...
    Im new to this..well sorta.
Ive been using the DVD X Platinum and DVD X Rescue for about a year now on my old PC.
Im now starting to run into problems backing up my dvds such as

    Rocky Baloba
    Saw 3
    Smoking Aces
    Pusuit of Happiness
    And a few others.

I know that the 321 software is well...kinda outdated.
So Im looking to upgrade to the next software thats on par with
DVD X Platinum and DVD X Rescue.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

those programs you have there are outdated, or have not had any updates to them to allow newer release's. one of the best rippers and it is free is DVDshrink 3.2
    great tool.

and dvdfab decrypter is another free ripper that works great.

give these 2 a try you will be pleased...

both are free and work great... if you want a pay program that works awsome try clonedvd2 and anydvd combo they work great and worth the money...

hope this helps ya out some.

i'll wholeheartedly concur on the DVDFab HD Decrypter suggestion, it'll tear thru all those above movies and any others. It's updated very frequently so if there's any problems with brand new films the updates will no doubt sort it out quickly

    Thanks for the info.
I have updated to Slysoft AnyDVD and Clone DVD.

So far those have worked great.

however, Ive run into snags with talladega nights and saw 3.

I will check out the DVD shrink and DVD fab.

    Thanks again

whats the snags? clonedvd 2 + anydvd handle theses movies fine as long as you are using the latest version of the programs. try this guide it may help

    http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/

also doing the movie only helps on alot of the newer release

make sure your firmware is up to date on your drive/burner so it can transcode correctly, check here

Both Saw 3 and Tally nights begin ripping fine and about halfway through the process...it ends with an error.

I downloaded the programs from slysofts web site.

And the firmware on my dvd burner seems to be up to date.

    ...hmmm...???
