DVD Rom won't read Blank DVD-R or DVD+R

    I recently decided to backup my playstation 2 games on my pc but found out that i could not because when i insterted the blank DVD-R or DVD+R discs into the DVD-ROM it could not read them.

    A DVD rom is a READ only drive. It won't burn a blank dvd disc. Thats why it can't see the blank disc.

    Yea hes right, you need a Dvd+rw drive to burn blank dvds, you can't use a DVD-ROM drive.
