Hi guys, I just got an 8x dvd burner and bought some memorex DVD+Rs. I have heard it is best to use DVD-Rs and I have one of those but wanted to know if +Rs work for games too.

    Thanks.

ya, they work, for me memorex +'s worked when memorex -'s didn't, i didn't notice a huge difference between +'s and -'s when using good quality dvd's

I dont't want the emperor's prize (san andreas) damaged. We shall test it on captain solo (MK: Deception)

by the way, the memorex discs are 8x, and Alcohol 120% wont let me use the Copy wizard. When I go to Image Burning Wizard, the slowest speed it will allow is 2.4x

I thought these games were supposed to be burned at 1x? What do i do?!

burn at 2.4 and you wont damage your disc by making an iso. it all depends on what version ps2 you have and the brand of the discs.

    I have a version 5 ps2.

won't burning faster than 2.4x risk making the game play poorly?

As was mentioned it all depends, there is no static forumla to use. Just need to test different media/speeds out and see what works for you. I've never had to burn dvd games at slow speeds for my v4 PS2 [bold]as long as[/bold] I use good quality media. If I happen to have a batch of cheaper discs then I sometimes have to burn at slower speeds in order for them to funtion properly.
