    Hi,

I recently created a backup of some old camcorder footage using my philips dvd recorder. I used a philips dvd-rw disc to do this. Since creating the dvd I have been able to play it on the philips dvd recorder and on my laptop dvd rw drive but it seems to be incompatible with my LG standard dvd-player. I believe this is probably due to dvd-rw compatibility issues and was wondering - Would it be possible for me to burn the dvd-rw disc to dvd-r and then finalise the dvd-r disc, thus ,making it compatible with my standard dvd player?

    Any input would be appreciated,

    GavinO

    Hi gavino. :)

In theory, there is absolutely no reason for you not to be able to do it.
Simply use your burning software to do a 1:1 copy.

In nero, you would use "DVD Copy".
With DVD Decrypter, ISO Read, followed by ISO Write.
    ...
