I have successfully backed up several of my DVD's but have run across 2 of them that while using DVD shrink give me the following error.

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue,
    Failed to read file "E:\"
    data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Can anyone tell me why I am getting this when I try to back up 2 of my dvd's ?

    Thank you

    Cobra04,
Try cleaning your original dvd. If your trying to backup a backup, it's probably a media quality issue.

Already tried to clean it and I also just tried DVD Decrypter and got an error:

Should I just chalk this up to the original DVD being scratched or something ?

It's also possible that the discs are harder to crack. Someone at this forum has suggested to play the DVD for a short while, then run DVD Shrink again with disc still in burner. Maybe you can give this a try.
