Try uninstalling Shrink and then re-boot the computer. After re-booting re-install Shrink.

For a while i was using dvd shrink on vista until the May auto update it seems that microsoft had put a block on vista so that dvd shrink wont work, it starts and when you hit back up, it slow down until it stops it shows time to finish 200 hours, now i try the same movie on xp with dvd shrink no problems, and i even tryed it on a fresh installed vista meaning no updates from microsoft yet, and it also worked, so if any developer looking to bring back dvd shrink better check that out.
