DVD shrink can't read the dvd

    on some dvds when i put them into my drive dvd shrink displays a message saying

    "DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. failed to read file "d:\"
    data error (cyclic redundancy check):"

    any help with is would be appriciated

    cyclic redundancy check means your disc is:scratched, dirty,damaged,or a factory "bum" disc. Try looking at it very hard for any fingerprints or scratches.If something interferes during the initial analyzing or encoding like a scratch or dirt,then it cannot get past that spot. Its just cycling,trying to get past that spot,then errors out. If that don't work,try ripping with dvd decrypter,set on brute force and ignore all read errors.
